Become a BARS Audit Company

Registered audit companies are the only entities permitted to conduct official audits of aircraft operators for the purpose of BARS registration. They shall only utilize trained and accredited BARS auditors in the conduct of the BARS audit.

Audit companies are registered by the BARS Program Office and are subject to ongoing monitoring and evaluation to maintain their BARS registered audit company status.

To become a BARS registered audit company, the organization has to meet certain minimum criteria and may be required to undergo an on-site evaluation by a BARS Program Office team member. The cost of this evaluation will be borne by the audit company and is in addition to the annual fee.
