Foundation Presents Annual Business Aviation Safety Award to Lisa Sasse

Apr 16, 2014

San Diego, CA, April 16 – At the 59th annual Business Aviation Safety Summit, the Flight Safety Foundation recognized Lisa Sasse of VisionSafe, for her selfless contributions to the business aviation community with the 2014 Business Aviation Meritorious Service Award.

As director of business development at VisionSafe Corp., she has made significant contributions to the reduction and mitigation of in-flight smoke and fire risks. Ms. Sasse also has been a driving force in efforts to improve the quality and timeliness of weather information available to flight crews.

“Known for her professionalism, enthusiasm and ability to make things happen, Ms. Sasse continually promotes, improves and challenges the business aviation community,” stated Ken Hylander, acting president and CEO of the Flight Safety Foundation. “She has also been an enthusiastic and long-time supporter of FSF and aviation safety. She is a very worthy recipient of this award and I’m honored to present it to her today.”

This award is presented annually at the Business Aviation Safety Seminar (BASS) by FSF in order to recognize an individual or company for exceptional ability to improve the safety of business aviation.
