Statement on the Confirmation of Dr. Earl Weener to the NTSB

Alexandria, VA, June 23, 2010  — The Flight Safety Foundation issued the following statement in response to the confirmation of Dr. Earl Weener to the National Transportation Safety Board:

“President Obama made a fine choice by nominating Dr. Weener to the NTSB and we are pleased that the Senate confirmed him yesterday,” commented FSF CEO and President William R. Voss. “The Flight Safety Foundation has been the lucky recipient of Dr. Weener’s aviation expertise for many years as a consultant on some of our most important technical initiatives. We’re delighted that his knowledge and expertise will become a part of the vital mission of the National Transportation Safety Board.”
