FSF Board Elects Three New Members

Alexandria, VA, May 28, 2015 – The Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) announced today that the Board of Governors has elected three new members: Capt. Conor Nolan, corporate safety and risk manager at Aer Lingus; Capt. Henry Donohoe, senior vice president – group safety at Emirates ; and Craig Hoskins, vice president, safety, security and technical affairs, Airbus Americas, Inc.

“All of these gentlemen bring important safety expertise from their positions at major companies in aviation. In addition, they will bring a perspective from different regions of the world,†stated Kenneth J. Hylander, chairman of the FSF Board. “We are very pleased that they agreed to take on these positions.â€

Nolan has been with Aer Lingus for most of his career and has flown many types of aircraft in the fleet. He’s active in several safety efforts, including as a member of IATA Safety & Flight Operations RCG and as a member of ECAST (EASA Civil Aviation Safety Team).

Donohoe joined Emirates in 2010 as vice president- flight safety. He was promoted one year later to his current position. He’s been a member of the Flight Safety Foundation’s International Advisory Committee for a number of years and is also a member of other safety groups, including the Gulf Flight Safety Council and the IATA Safety Group.

Hoskins has worked in the airline business for the last 15 years after a career in the U.S. Coast Guard. He joined Airbus Americas, Inc. in his current role in 2013. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at JetBlue Airways as vice president, chief safety officer.
