About Safety Forum

This is the main content

Let your imagination be your guide. You have to make those little noises or it won’t work. But they’re very easily killed. Clouds are delicate.

The secret to doing anything is believing that you can do it. Anything that you believe you can do strong enough, you can do. Anything. As long as you believe. When things happen – enjoy them. They’re little gifts. Let’s make a nice big leafy tree. Have fun with it. We have no limits to our world. We’re only limited by our imagination.

Safety Forum 2025 THEME: People in the Centre of Aviation Safety

The 12th Safety Forum is scheduled for June 5–6, 2025, at EUROCONTROL headquarters in Brussels. The Forum is organised by the Flight Safety Foundation in partnership with EUROCONTROL and the European Regions Airline Association. The Organizing Committee invites submissions to present as a speaker. Submissions should provide fact-based insights or proven practical approaches to holistically and proactively address mental health, well-being, fatigue, and workload management.
Possible Presentation Topics
  1. What can front-line operators do before a mission to help them handle what happens during and after that mission?
  2. How can organizations support the capability for resilient performance in their front-line operators?
  3. How can we distinguish “resilient performance” from “silent endurance” before the tragedy occurs?
  4. What are the policy, regulatory, and cultural roadblocks to learning about mental health and well-being in the aviation industry?
  5. How can organizations and front-line workers successfully manage pressures to do more, limit costs, and stay safe?
  6. What is the right balance between individual, team, and organizational strategies for managing mental health, well-being, fatigue, and workload?
  7. Nature versus nurture in resilient performance: What is the optimal balance between selection, screening, and development when addressing mental health, fatigue, and workload management?
  8. What are the tensions between short-term and long-term approaches to managing mental health, well-being, fatigue, and workload? How can these tensions be effectively addressed?
  9. Understanding and managing “burnout”, neurodivergence, depression and addiction?
SUBMIT YOUR PRESENTATION TODAY! The Event Organizing Committee will only consider submissions received using this form.
