Calling for a crackdown on the use of unapproved parts, a coalition of airplane and parts manufacturers has issued a package of 13 recommendations intended to prevent counterfeit parts from entering the supply chain and to strengthen the integrity of the supply chain.
The Aviation Supply Chain Integrity Coalition said Wednesday that its recommendations are “performance based and technology-agnostic” and that, while originally designed for the propulsion supply chain, they also can be applied to other segments of the aviation parts supply chain.
