Making Strides in Latin America

The team at Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) is busy gearing up for our largest event of the year. Now in its 65th year, the International Air Safety Seminar (IASS), will be held in Santiago, Chile, on Oct. 23–25, and will be hosted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Chile. The IASS was last held in South America in 1999, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and quite a lot has changed in those 13 years. The region is now one of the largest and fastest growing in aviation. Growth demands attention to services and infrastructure — and most importantly, to safety management.

In an effort to expand our reach in the region, the Foundation is proud to partner with the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA).
