The crew of the Propair Beech King Air A100, which had been dispatched to Wemindji Airport in Quebec, Canada, to begin a medical evacuation flight, touched down slightly left of the centerline on Runway 28. The left landing gear and left propeller struck a berm of snow that extended the entire length of the runway, and the airplane veered left, off the runway, and traveled about 45 ft (14 m) before stopping.
One of three mission crewmembers traveling in the airplane received minor injuries; two other members of the mission crew and the two pilots were uninjured in the accident, which damaged the King Air’s left propeller and engine, as well as the flaps on both sides, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) said in its final report on the Nov. 4, 2023, event.
