Drone manufacturer DJI has introduced a “knowledge quiz” intended to promote safety among Australian operators of its aircraft.
When drone operators connect their aircraft to one of two apps — DJI GO or DJI GO 4 — they will be asked to answer nine questions related to Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) rules and regulations. All nine questions must be answered correctly before they can fly their drones, DJI said, adding that pilots “can continue answering questions until they successfully pass the DJI Knowledge Quiz.”
Adam Welsh, head of Asia Pacific public policy at DJI, said that, “as drones become more portable, intelligent and accessible, we expect to see more enthusiasts using this technology at home, on their travels and as a complementary tool for their work.
