Alexandria, VA – The Flight Safety Foundation is pleased to announce today that CAE has become the Foundation’s 25th benefactor member. Benefactors are the elite members of the Foundation who contribute above and beyond their membership level.

“For more than six decades, we have been dedicated to expanding and enhancing our portfolio of products and services so that CAE customers can benefit from the most advanced training technologies,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE’s Group President, Civil Simulation Products, Training and Services. “CAE’s position as a benefactor member of Flight Safety Foundation validates our commitment to safety in training. We strongly support the organization’s efforts to provide expert safety guidance to the global aviation industry. ”

CAE is a global leader in modeling, simulation and training for civil aviation and defense. The company employs approximately 8,000 people at more than 100 sites and training locations in approximately 30 countries. CAE offers civil aviation, military, and helicopter training services in more than 45 locations worldwide and trains approximately 100,000 crewmembers yearly. In addition, the CAE Oxford Aviation Academy offers training to aspiring pilot cadets in 11 CAE-operated flight schools.

“We are very pleased to welcome CAE as a benefactor member,” stated Kevin Hiatt, President and CEO of the Flight Safety Foundation. “The global aviation system depends on the safety work of the Foundation and we depend on our membership to help fund that work.
