Foundation Praises Confirmation of Huerta

Alexandria, VA, January 2, 2013 – The Flight Safety Foundation today applauded the confirmation of Michael Huerta as Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

“We’re very glad to see this critical aviation safety post firmly in the hands of an experienced and capable steward,” stated Kevin L. Hiatt, FSF President and CEO. “This is a crucially important position for our transportation industry and we are delighted that the Senate acted to confirm Administrator Huerta and we look forward to working with him and the rest of the FAA on critical aviation safety issues.”
