Kevin Hiatt Joins Foundation Executive Team

Jul 8, 2010

Alexandria, VA, July 8, 2010 — The Flight Safety Foundation announced today that Kevin Hiatt has joined the staff as Executive Vice President. In this role, Mr. Hiatt will rely on his extensive aviation experience to take on certain safety projects, as well as day-to-day office management.

“Kevin is a welcome addition to the FSF team,” commented William R. Voss, president and CEO. “As a former corporate and commercial airline pilot and safety professional, he already is aware of the issues facing the aviation industry. He will be a tremendous asset to our efforts as we expand our outreach.” Mr. Hiatt comes to the Foundation from World Airways, Inc., where, starting in 2005, he served as Director and then Vice President for Corporate Safety and Security. Prior to 2005, Mr. Hiatt was with Delta Air Lines for 26 years in various positions, including Chief Pilot at the Atlanta International Pilot Crew Base from 2002 to late 2005.

“My new role at the Foundation is going to give me the opportunity to expand my efforts in aviation safety throughout the industry,” Hiatt said. “It’s an honor to join the Foundation. The organization holds a unique place in the history of the aviation industry and plays a key role in bringing the industry together to address current and future aviation safety issues.”
