Business aviation likely will experience a quick turnaround from the downturn that accompanied the COVID-19 pandemic, Andy Nureddin, Bombardier’s vice president for customer support, said Tuesday on the opening day of Flight Safety Foundation’s 66th annual Business Aviation Safety Summit (BASS).
“You’ll find that aviation’s one of the most resilient and adaptable industries in the world,” Nureddin said, noting that in its 100-year history, aviation has coped with two world wars, more than one significant economic downturn and numerous incidents of political, economic and social turmoil.
“Aviation has been through a lot,” he told attendees of BASS, being held virtually this year. He predicted that the industry would begin recovering soon from the effects of the pandemic and associated losses throughout the aviation industry.
