Cessna Citation 500. Destroyed. Two fatalities.
After landing the Citation at Wichita (Kansas, U.S.) Mid-Continent Airport on Oct. 17, 2013, the pilot telephoned a maintenance technician in another state and said that the autopilot had malfunctioned; the warning flags in his vacuum-driven, gyroscopic flight instruments had appeared several times; and the heading indicator on the right side of the instrument panel had failed completely during the flight to Wichita.
