More than 20 countries have eased restrictions on travelers who have been vaccinated against COVID-19, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) says.
In a statement issued Wednesday (May 19), IATA noted that Germany was among the most recent countries to exempt vaccinated passengers from quarantine requirements, unless the passengers are traveling from certain high-risk countries.
The statement said that IATA “supports unrestricted access to travel for vaccinated travelers. In cases where vaccination is not possible, access to quarantine-free travel should be provided through COVID-19 testing strategies based on widely available, free-of-charge tests.”
