Reducing the risk of loss of control–in flight (LOC-I) accidents, the leading cause of fatalities in commercial aviation between 2001 and 2011,1 remains a priority of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the entire aviation community. As one of several steps to standardize and harmonize upset prevention and recovery training (UPRT), ICAO most recently has published Doc 10011, Manual on Aeroplane Upset Prevention and Recovery Training.2
