To succeed in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the aviation industry must be more prepared to collaborate; to share information, including information on passengers’ vaccination status; and to invest in digital technology, according to a report in the Global Journal of Engineering and Technology Advances.1
The report said that airlines and other industry stakeholders should not only continue the information-sharing that prevailed during the pandemic but also invest in continued digitalization to help the industry emerge from the pandemic in a “more responsible, agile and financially sustainable way” than before.
At the same time, they should develop new partnerships that would enable “operational agility that is required to protect the health and safety of both the passengers and their [aviation industry] employees,” the report said.
