24th Annual EASS Scheduled for Dublin, Includes Fatigue Symposium

Feb 3, 2012

February 3, 2012, Alexandria, VA — The Flight Safety Foundation announced today that the 24th annual European Aviation Safety Seminar will be held February 29–March 1 in Dublin, Ireland at the Burlington Hotel. Presented by FSF, the European Regions Airline Association, and Eurocontrol, the Irish Aviation Authority is hosting the conference and Aer Lingus is the official Airline Partner.

“This year’s EASS will again focus on some of the most-timely safety issues facing the aviation industry,” commented FSF President and CEO, William R. Voss. “We’ve got an impressive line-up of speakers to discuss these issues.”

In addition, FSF will also host a one-day European Fatigue Risk Management Symposium on February 28, one day prior to the EASS, at the Burlington Hotel. This is a continuing discussion on FRM for the European community, evolving from a similar 2011 symposium in Washington, D.C. The agenda will be a full day of speakers and a panel discussion.

“The EFRMS is a bonus for our attendees, or anyone else who wishes to attend it,” Voss continued. “Fatigue is an issue that is being studied all over the world and it is vitally important that experts convene and share their findings on a regular basis. We’re pleased to be able to host this symposium while we’re in Dublin.”
